Julia’s message was one trust in God love’s and healing power. During the worst of times, Julia found a way to smile and find the joy in life. Through a looking glass, outsiders were able to follow Julia’s day to day battle. Through the innocence of a woman’s eyes others found themselves lifted up to seek a higher purpose in life. Julia symbolized the meaning of strength, love, hope and courage. Her purpose on earth was to restore spirits, hearts and create richer lives in individuals and families around the globe.

As it is impossible to ensure that no cancerous cell remains after treatment, regular reviews of monitoring are essential in all patients to ensure they do not show any recurrence. In general, these tests include an x-ray or CT scan of the lungs, sometimes an ultrasound of the liver and a brain scan. In some types of lung cancer, blood tests may be prescribed to control tumor markers.
The doctor is the best person to give advice on life or general activity possible. However, it can be tricky to deal with him intimate questions. In this case, the sharing its concerns with people with similar experiences is often useful. If emotional problems become too disturbing to the patient or his environment, it is best to consult a specialist, psychologist, psychiatrist or psycho-oncologist. It is easier for the patient to adapt to the changes implied lung cancer when it has good information and effective support. In most cases, the social service of the hospital or clinic can refer her to agencies that will facilitate the rehabilitation, counseling, financial aid, transportation or home care. Finally, it may be helpful to consult a nutritionist, especially in case of swallowing problems.

A person learning that she has lung cancer goes through all kinds of emotions, often contradictory. Sometimes, patients and their families feel a sense of discouragement or revolt. Generally, patients cope better with emotional shock if they can talk openly with members of their entourage and friends. Questions about the future - in addition to more immediate concerns about the examinations, treatment, hospitalization, medical costs - often arise.
